Increase Your Impact, Income, and Independence Following Your Passion

According to a 2010 Gallup Management Poll, only 20-30% of the workforce are engaged in their work.  That supports other studies I’ve read indicating that 70-80% of our population either tolerates or hates their job.  Some of that is because so many corporations barely try to treat their employees well.  That means those that do really stand out.  But an even bigger reason is that so many have ended up doing work they are not passionate about or are gifted to do well
So let me ask you a question; don’t you think life is supposed to be better than that?  You spend most of your waking hours in work related activities, you have limited time on planet earth to live and make a difference; so do you want to spend most of your life doing something you just tolerate or even hate?  Some may argue, “You do what you have to do to take care of your family and pay the bills.  It’s just a job.”  I totally agree that it is honorable and right, not to expect others to take care of you and there is value in all types of work.  In times past, and still sometimes today, you have to do things you don’t enjoy in order to do what is right.  I get it and agree with it.  But with all the opportunities that are available today and the way our world is headed, shouldn’t you be strongly considering learning to build a part-time or full-time business of your own doing something you love?  At a minimum, why not start heading in the direction of an impacting, income producing, independence building, and passion based-business?
Our world is changing at a rate faster than ever before.  No one can accurately predict the future, but this I know.  If you learn to think like an entrepreneur, if you learn to see opportunities and take action to make things happen, you have a much greater chance of succeeding where others are just hanging on or failing.
If you are one of the few who like their job, that is awesome.  Please understand, if you want to keep that job or advance in your career, if you learn entrepreneurial leadership skills, you have a much better chance of doing so.  Companies are looking for people who can come up with fresh solutions, work with a team, communicate well and produce positive results; in other words Entrepreneurial Leadership.  And if you decide to add another stream of income or at some point you no longer work for that company, you will have developed skills to get work elsewhere or start your own business or businesses.
If, however, you are part of the majority who tolerate or hate your job; you now have real options.
The world has changed and will continue to change and you can either change with it or continue down this path of decreasing income, lack of fulfillment, and disengagement.   Or you can step into the incredible new opportunities that lead to greater impact and income based on your passion and talents.    Change is uncomfortable, sometimes painful; but change can also be GREAT!  Now, more than ever before you have the opportunity to make positive changes that will increase your enjoyment, impact, and income levels.
You just need to learn some key practices and skills.
